2 for 1 tickets to Singin' In The Rain, this coming Monday. Book now

This week John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman cast an eye over the state of the US Presidential election and come to the conclusion that there must be a towel somewhere that needs throwing in. An examination of the state of science today leads them to believe there's no hope of a cure for cancer and Andy and John are delighted to discover that all the problems in the world this week are the fault of the British. What a nation of achievers.

Please, lower the volume of the musical cues. I live in a building in Korea where the walls are so thin I can hear my neighbors breathing... while I'm sure they appreciate hearing bugles at 3am, I'm not sure they won't eventually lose their patience.

Hurrah! Much better.

Hello,
We think we've tracked down the problem that some listeners have had this week with the podcast. It looks like a problem that's affecting people listening on mono devices. A remixed version will be up shortly.
Matt Walsh, Podcast editor,
There's always been something of a volume disparity between the spoken parts and the Tide of Empire music cues, but in the last couple of weeks a new problem has developed. To me it sounds like we're just getting the feed of one co-host instead of their mic track. Andy one week, John the other.

Yes the audio has been dodgy for the past two weeks, as far as i remember. Annoying to listen to on headphones. Great otherwise!
Daniel, Chipping Norton,
Hi Andy and John:
A technical problem. When I listen to the podcast on stereo, the sound levels are awefully different between different "channels". For instance, this week when I have the volume button, johns voice is say 35 dB and Andy's 16dB. the next podcast, it would be the otherway. help!!!!!!
