2 for 1 tickets to Casablanca, this coming Monday

JUST ANNOUNCED
BMW 1-series convertible
Price £20,000-£30,000
On sale in UK Spring 2008
What’s different?
This will be BMW’s most affordable convertible to date, although prices and an
official launch date have not yet been announced. It features a fabric roof
that can be operated on the move at speeds below 25mph and a range of petrol
engines from 143bhp to 306bhp, plus one diesel version with 177bhp
Why should I care?
The appeal of a drop-top BMW with four seats costing less than anything from
Audi or Mercedes is not hard to see. Don’t expect much space in either the
back or the boot, however

Citroën C2 1.6HDi VTS
Price £13,400
On sale Now
What’s different?
By squeezing a 1.6 litre 110bhp diesel engine under the bonnet of its
diminutive C2, Citroën now has a car that will do 120mph and hit 62mph in
9.4sec while returning 64mpg on the combined cycle. With carbon dioxide
emission figure of just 119g/km it also scrapes under the 120g/km limit for
car tax band B
Why should I care?
Because this Citroën is an environmentally sound hot hatch. On paper it sounds
very appealing and in reality should prove both quick and frugal. Just bear
in mind, however, that the C2 is quite old now and lacks the sophistication
of many of its younger rivals
