What’s different? The unlovable Agila’s replacement is prettier,
with five doors, five seats, and diesel and automatic versions. Vauxhall
says its appeal is as much as a fashion accessory as cheap transport.
Engines include 65bhp and 85bhp petrol and a 75bhp diesel
Why should I care? This Agila is new from stem to stern and is
exploiting the emerging market for truly compact city cars that aren’t
spartan inside and are quite fun to drive. So expect a funky interior and
many options to allow you to personalise the car. Suzuki’s Splash sister car
will be unveiled at the same time

petrol engines and three diesels. Based on a new platform to be used on
future cars such as the next VW Polo and Seat Ibiza, the Fabia is spacious,
fun to drive and conspicuously good value for money
Why should I care? The first Fabia was launched in 2001 and was for
some years the best car in its class. This one has much stiffer competition
from the likes of the Vauxhall Corsa but it is still very capable and is
great value
