Today marks the start of an exciting new project at Body&Soul: the launch of a unique new website, The Times Health Club. We’ve created it to inspire and motivate you to make the changes you want to in 2008.
Whether you aim to lose a few pounds or run a marathon, the club offers tools to help you not only make a plan but to stick to it. You can record how much you’re eating and how often you are exercising; in fact, you can keep tabs on anything, from sit-ups to sleeping habits to how many glasses of water you have drunk.
Family members or friends can egg you on by getting weekly e-mails about your progress – or lack of it.
Need more inspiration and information? Body&Soul’s team of experts, led by the nutritionist Amanda Ursell and the fitness trainer Matt Roberts, will be there with articles to keep you on track.
We can’t wait to see how you get on and we’ll be reporting back over the coming months.

I want to lose a few pounds; tone muscles and maintain healthy lifestyle. Could do to cut down on alcohol, like to share bottle of wine 3 nights per week and have the odd beer and gin and tonic Friday, Saturday and Sunday) which puts me over 14 units. Have 4 alcohol-free days in the week.
